I also have lived out of town since I was ten and spent many afternoons walking home from
KHS after band practice. The Heilman Bus Service ended here when I was in junior high and
there was no public transportation.
As far as riding in the back of things, I have played from the back of firetrucks,
pickup trucks, a trailer with the Yellow Dog Six from Worthington, from the inside of
busses and even on a New Orleans Trolley Car.
Living in a small area can give one many opportunities, provided they are
willing to expend some of their own energy.
