REPLY: Looking at the BIG PICTURE does seem to be a lost art these days ... almost everyone looks at things on a case by case basis, instead of trying to spot trends or patterns. We spend so much effort studying individual incidents and focusing on point-by-point micro debates, that we lose perspective and can't get a grasp on the WHOLE story.
The NEXT group of vandals/fun seekers will not have as much worry about getting caught because this group didn't SUFFER much .. unless we set some examples and hold a line of defense for behavioral standards .. society will continue the downward spiral.
The CHILL OUT, IT WAS JUST ONE INCIDENT logic should only be used ONCE .. after that, you start to show a pattern, and the wrong lessons get learned FAST !!!!
