: : : : Recently i got burned when a cup off Sheetz coffee crushed in my hand. I went to them and asked for help with my dr bills. Their answer thru a hired gun called Alternative Service Concepts was I was fortunate i didnt get burned worse and they pitched me aside like yesterdays garbage.

: : I need to post before this gets out of hand. I have a serious problem with lack of personal responsibility in this country. Did the cup implode on its own? Did you fill it too high? Was the lid on tight? Regardless of warning labels, as a human being who is old enough to know that coffee is hot, we should take it upon ourselves to be cautious when carrying a scalding cup of hot liquid.

: I disagree with your assessment of this situation. Product liability is a main concern when a consumer purchases a product from a retail establishment. The store has a responsiblitiy to ensure that any products they sell are NOT defective. How many other people puirchased coffee from Sheetz and were burned by hot coffee due to a defective cup? Yes we all have to be personally responsible for our behavior, including Sheetz.

Did Sheetz produce the cup? They bought it in good faith assuming it would produce to its capability, if it was a defective cup, I would think the manufacturer would be more resonsible than Sheetz
