Kit-Han-Ne clarification

Through some searching, I found a reference that stated that Kittanning was originally Kit-Han-Ne village. Is this correct? Can anyone tell me the roots of the term Kit-Han-Ne? I am assuming that it is of American Indian origin, but would appreciate any further insight.
