: This is NOT going out to anyone in particular, this is something I had posted on every group I've been on. So here are:
: Some things to keep in mind when posting online:
: 1) When you read someone's post, it is in text. You do not know how the person's voice would have sounded had they stood in front of you & said what their post did. I can say from experience that (especially depending on "my" mood), I have gotten very angry over posts because I read too much into them, only to find out later the person didn't mean any harm by it. So please, if a post makes you very angry, wait a few hours before replying, and reply within the context of giving a person the benefit of the doubt.
: 2) One of the bad things about the internet is that we are not talking to people face to face. Before posting any message anywhere online, think: "If the person were standing in front of me, would I still say these words to them".?
: Words can have many meanings, depending on who is reading it, the mood of the reader (and the writer), etc. People tend to get heated, sometimes for good reason, sometimes for misunderstandings due to the whole online/text format. Either way, I'm tired of seeing bickering not just on this forum but on a lot of online groups. Remember too "treat others as you wish to be treated"
jenny when you havent heard from carl about the board maybe his silence is a message to you.just my thoughts
