In search of Bowser Family History

I am looking for info. or suggestions on where to look for history concerning the Bowser family in and around Kittanning PA, Armstrong County PA, Bedford County PA and Lancaster Conty PA and, if available, the area in Germany from where they came from. If you might have suggestions for books or library sources, those would also be appreciated.

Additionally, I have traced our Bowser ancestry to one Loben Bowser of Wilkinsburg PA (b. 1828 d. 1912 in Armstrong Co. PA). I am interested in finding out the history behind his movement in Pennslyvania and one of his daughters, Mary Melissa Bowser (my great grandmother) in the period around 1861 to 1900.

Any information would be appreciated.
