: : : : : : : : I see the kittanning boro is advertising for some suggestions for ways to make the park more profitable.Every one should attend the meeting and express your thoughts.

: : : : : : : USE BOTH PARTS FOR THE FESTIVAL!

: : : : : : I think that it is stupid worrying about the park and not the "OLD" buildings that sit empty, not being used for anything, and that could be reconstructed to bring new businesses to the area and create more jobs. Spending tax payers money on something that we really did not need, that gets flooded, probably gets damaged from ice is really smart! i think the old park was just fine the way it was!

: : : : : And who is going to re-construct those buildings and what kind of business would come in? No one can compete with Walmart. The park was done with grant money, it is there , use it to make money and draw some people in.

: : : : so we have to come up with all the good ideas for them ,, typical

: : :
: : : It is called brainstorming- some of the best ideas come from the people you would least expect,if someone has an idea, let them know , don't be afraid, it may be the best one of all

: : If the electricity is the problem in the lower end of the park,Why don't they fix it and then use it,I don't understand why they would put that much money into a park and not have it safe for use on both ends.I think you are right,That is why they built the walk way beneith the bride so you wouldent have to cross the highway and a rent a cop would be one way to keep people from crossing there and using the walk.Dont the County have a full time electrican working that could repair the problem in the lower end of the park.
: : As far as the old buildings in town, There are people who would be glad to take them down for the lumber. There has been a lot of hunting camps built that way,Maybe the boro should run an artical looking for them.

: The under bridge walk way is too narrow that point has been proven and it would take state cops or town cops to keep people from crossing up top and closing the bridge even though possible would cost too much money.

It is not that narrow, no more than the other walkways at the festival. The bridge could be closed from 6-11 pm with the only trafic being emergency vehicles and shuttle busues from the Applewold side. It could be done, and the town would have a larger festival with more customers and more money even for local vendors. If you don't improve people stop coming, I have seen it at Heritage Days and to some extent the Folk Festival, it used to be so crowded you could hardly move, I don't see that no more.People get tired of the same old.
