Stores do surveys to see what the region will support, we don't have enough people to support another major store . It is supposed to be Lowes following Home Depot. People in the city don't think a thing about driving a half- hour to a store so why would we? That is why Ames left- couldn't compete with Walmart, believe me there will be no Target, K Mart or anything like that, all you will have is rumors.It would be nice to have those stores but don't count on it. They are building Pittsburgh Mills, a complex in Frazer Twp. along Rt. 28, 25-30 minutes south of here that will employ over 2200 people and Walmart here is worried about losing some of their business to them, so again don't look for a big store in here.
