This is property they purchased that does NOT include hoards of people with bike & roller blades free access to the person's back yard. We have a pool in our backyard. The trail runs two feet away from my pool!!!! How can I enjoy a peaceful swim in my own pool with people coming through my back yard? Did I not buy the right to privacy when I bought my house? It's so easy for everyone else to make comments, but how quickly are you willing to give up your right to privacy in your own back yard so people can ride bikes?
Yes, paying taxes on YOUR property. But do you own the property where the rails to trails want to go? I also live in town and pay taxes, on my own propert, but because a business wants to come in and that would mean more traffic in my area, and the end to a quiet evening on my front porch. To me there is no difference!! Consider putting up a fence, like we did...
