> That's even more funny than the game. Bring back Beckwith... Harry
would beat up the lightweights with the run, but when they'd get to the
playoffs, teams would stack the box and shut them down. He's not a
genius. He was a dinosaur.
> You have to have a balanced attack to win.

Correct, he is not a genius, he was however an excellent coach. He was
in control everything, without QUESTION.
First of all , Harry ALWAYS had the best 11 on the field every snap.
Harry didn't care who's kid it was, or wasn't. If they earned the spot,
they played.
Harry was ALWAYS PREPARED, his teams were prepared for every game
PERIOD. He was a coach, not some rah rah fool out there rolling in dirt
and screaming about nothing. Harry could see what was going on with the
opposition and ajdust. He just didn't go down a clipboard of plays then
start at the top again. He let Sam Panchik run the Defense, but always
oversaw ALL of the the action. And intervened when needed.
His players were in shape , they hit, played hard, they wore you down.
Harry may have ran an old school deleware wing t, but he ran it down you
throat. He would have never been shut out last night.
I've heard that after Harry left, things turned south in Kittanning.
Last year, they didn't have their best 11 on the field. And lost because
of it. I watched it,they did it all of last season. 6'-3"Karl Walker and
6-2" Deo Beck sit on the bench while a 5'-8" kid starts at tight end!
What the hell was THAT about? You had your buddies kid out there, or you
friend from church, or a teachers kid, or your pet. If your kid ist't
liked by one of the assistants, he does not play. They obviously didn't
learn a freaking thing after from last year, loosing games as you best
athletes sit on the bench.
They have had numerous kids give up, or quit due exclusively to this
fact. They aren't gonna play, and they know it- even though they a better
athlete.
Last night, I saw a first year senior out ahead of a kids who have
played since 7th grade. One kid, for instance, who is one of the fastest
on the team -Chad Cravenor. Why is he not in the game? Is your new senior
already a better football player than this kid who has been there since
7th grade? If you think so, you need to step aside cause you playing
favorites or just plain stupid.
Harry would have had the first year senior on Kick coverage at best,
until he earned his spot just like the kid who has been there busting his
ass since 7th grade.
Politics kill sports. Kittanning is going downhill due to politics. But,
It is not too late... Sam Panchik has some excellent assistants such as
Ed Walker and Larry Shepard. Get them up to Varstiy, Let them coach,
listen to what they have to say. They have EARNED IT. They have played
DI and Pro ball why aren't they calling plays? You have outstanding
resources and fail to utilize them?!!?!?!?
Sam also needs to send some of his abundance of varstiy assistants back
down to shore up the jr. high program. Way too many coaches.Way too much
rah rah antics.
Turn the sideline back into a football field, not a carnival. Get all of
those little kids off of the field before they get hurt. Put all of your
pals in the bleachers and off of the sideline. Kittanning, last season,
had more fans on the sidelines than players! Harry would have had no
parts of this nonsense.
Players are frustrated with the current situation, they aren't coming
out for jr. high ball. They are quitting. Sam had better take control or
he won't have anyone to coach next year.
Just my take as a loyal wildcat fan. Good Luck Sam Panchik and Wildcat
Players!
