I've an idea (a small one).. how about if the bus. owners of downtown have parking permits (at a reasonalbe rate) instead of paying for that darn meter every 2hours?
Not all bus. have places to park behind their buildings. As for residents that do park on the street(which I think is almost nutty and brazen-sometimes you can't get down a street) They should have parking permits in front of their homes. That way no one gets towed or ticketed. And for those that have the handicap tag(real ones on their plates) wouldn't have to pay, they already have paid a price.
Or we could do like Butler does and hike up the meter price to .50 per 30 min's then watch the traffic NOT be downtown. Which I'm amazed at this point how many people to park in town along Market Street & other streets.
