couple kids with spiked hair. Some of them got the attention of the
police too. I saw Jimmers and I didn't think he was a danger, but some
people commented about the man in the dark alcove. While I agree "it's
what's inside" and I think it is great that Jimmers is doing something
good from such a tragedy as losing a loved one to cancer, first
appearances mean alot. Presentation is the most important ingredient in
marketing. Marketing should have been toward ages 35+. A well lite area
would have helped. Setting up in an area where the police are called
regularly because of disturbances of the tenants in the apartments above
these stores did not help.

making eye-contact .. I had more kids with blue hair stop by the table
than ANY OTHER demographic group .. the so-called trouble making tennants
actually stayed and talked with me more than ANYone else .. I have no
control over the lights in the alcove .. maybe we could have everyone who
doesn't look like a NORMAL CITIZEN rounded up and shot ??

as well as strangers .. I had hair down to my butt until Sept 6, 2001 ..
my Dad was at the first Cancer Sux show and watched his friends and family
raise $1,050 just to make me cut it.

Cancer ..

instead of defeating our purpose by falsely catagorizing the music ..
instead of dredging up and plastering every possible negative detail
across this board .. STEP BACK .. look at the big picture.

shell out of the dark corners society pushes GOOD CAUSES into .. and get
some wind into the sails !!

Miller Foundation is a good thing .. SOME folks get it but MANY don't .. I
have heard more ugly comments from UPSTANDING citizens than you can
imagine .. my best support has ALWAYS come from people who might be
considered lower class .. we get more support from BAR ROOMS than BOARD
ROOMS by a HUGE margin !!

> THANKS again for stopping by and saying HI .. thanks for letting folks
know we ARE doing a good thing .. feel free to e-mail, call or talk to me
in person anytime and/or place .. lets see if we can help others get past
the petty stuff and HELP VICTIMS OF CANCER !!

There is truth in all the comments made, I am sure you are a good
person and the cause is sure good but your appearance didn't have a whole
lot to do with it, but it was dark there and I passed by and couldn't
read your sign- you should have had it in big bold letters like KILL
CANCER or something. Believe me , people over 35 full well knopw the ills
of cancer. You might do better at Walmart or a grocery store. Some people go
to the festival to look and eat and not spend much more.
