not liking it, they can have a say when they become taxpayers.

saddened by the loss of my Alma Mater, but certainly not bad enough to
warrant the upkeep of a building that isn't worth much more than the old
roller skating rink, it's just bad business, plain & simple.

you wish for. Many people live in Kittanning because it is a nice quite
place to live, not because it's a booming metropolis. If we wanted that,
we'd move to Pittsburgh. The fact of the matter is that if any business
chooses to move to Kittanning it is for one reason only and that reason
being low wages. Kittanning would be a nice alternate to Mexico for many
companies. We will never be paid Pittsburgh wages and it is silly to even
attempt to move in that direction. Let's focus on making Kittanning
affordable to those making the $7.00/hr paycheck so they don't have to
drive to Pittsburgh to work and the only way to do that is make decisions
based on sound business practices, not emotional attachments.

decissions stop and think this threw, as it sounds like you have..

That's the problem, it isn't affordable. If two people make $7 , the 14
comes to a little over 2200 a month, if they have children it would be
real tough, to own a home and pay taxes.Plus a lot of these $7.00 an hour
firms provide no benefits, sure they could get some help but it is very
hard to always live poor , plus with both working the kids suffer if they
have no other family to help babysit or whatever. This area needs a pick me
up in many ways, I hope for the sake of our children and grand-children
one can be found..
