There are some people who control this county and have for years, did
you read the Trib this weekend, R Claypoole who owns Moonlight Mushrooms
is part of a group that is trying to gain control of Sylvan Corp., another
major player in the acquisition is Snyder Assoc., sometimes I think they
want to see Armstrong County have no jobs except those of which they are
accociated with then they have their employees where they want them- if
there were some viable jobs in Armstrong County do you think the mushroom
farm could attract any employees or else they would have to raise the pay
scale to attract them , so there is still the good old boys in charge ,
just like some rural southern state. There have not been many decent
paying jobs coming in to the county but many, many have left. The only
raises here are the number of elderly, property taxes, and number of
unemployed/underemployed.
