I don't know any of the police officers and have no knowledge of what the difference is between chief and officer other than title. What are the qualifications to be chief? Is their special 'chief' training schools? What does a chief do anyhow? Does he just make schedules or is there things only a chief can do? I really don't know, I've been fortunate not to have dealings with the police. Reading this board gives me the impression that regardless of who is chosen, there will be hard feelings and that is unfortunate. The police and firemen are the most important group of individuals in a town. They provide us safety and peace of mind.
