I would like to say that my husband was an "out of towner/outsider" when he was hired over 20 years ago so are you saying he DOES NOT care about the town? When we looked to buy a house, I wanted very much to buy out of town and HE wished to buy IN TOWN because these are the people who pay the taxes he receives his paycheck from. Fred Neal up until about a year ago remained IN TOWN after going to the AG's office many many years ago. Burford and France went to the state police and Burford is counting on being back to OUR area soon if things go right for him. Gerry Hopper of course being with the FBI is as close to home as he can be, he is just a bit over an hour away. These people all still come often and do continue to care about the area. I think if a person chooses to better themselves does not mean they will actually leave/forget about the area and just because because a person is an "out of towner" doesn't exactly mean he will not care about the area.
