The rich Kittanning Businessmen at the turn of the century decided to build an exclusive community that they were separated from Kittanning but could still walk to their businesses. It was chartered In Dec 1899 and became a borough in Early 1900. The centenial is coming up. If you come to visit, please stop completely at the stop signs. Slow down and enjoy the view. It is one of the most densely populated areas in all of western pa ( at least thats what I hope they mean by saying we have one of the densest communities. More later if anyone is interested.
Thanks John...I thought it had to do with apple orchards but was not sure.
