Perfect-o-mundo!!! Love it or hate it, Money is ALWAYS the thing that makes the world go round. And with money comes Power and vice versa. Those with it do not want to 'spread the wealth' so to speak and would probably do some pretty nasty things to ensure things remain as they are.
Just speculating on this but it is my hunch...
