When I got married in 1964, our very first resididence was in Applewald. It was a brand new 2 story appartment owned by Erdos Bros. I remember the fantanic brown trout (carp) fishing available at the sewer discharge accross the street.
CARP ON A PLANK RECEIPT:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Clean the fish and rub salt inside and out.
Make up a stuffing of onions, tomatos, schrooms and bell peppers.
Mix the above ingredients with a touch of garlic and lemon juice and place inside the cavity of the carp.
Place the carp on a big old oak plank, place in the oven for 55 minutes.
REMOVE FROM THE OVEN, THROW AWAY THE FISH AND ENJOY EATING THE PLANK!!!
