The storage area upstairs is HUGE and filled with old displays and you can really picture the place filled with activity back in the store's past. Kind of creepy actually. I remember the walk down the back stairs which emptyed directly into the toy department! I also remember the aquarium and pet department on the other side of the downstairs level with hamsters and parakeets. I live in Florida now, but it's crazy to walk down those steps now when visiting which I do every summer. Great memories.
Does anyone remember Grant's??? Answer me this... where could you get a "Skyscraper" ice cream cone for something like .15 cents? I know, do you?
