: Sure it was the right verdict. But I'm sure Andreassi sure tried to convince the jury that he INTENDED to harm the cops. He failed. He should have just offered the plea in the first place and not wasted the court's time.
Maybe the cops should have just let him go too, so as to not waste THEIR time. Maybe the Judge should let him go, so the jail's time isn't wasted. MAybe he shouldn't give him any probation either. He doesn't want to waste any of the probabtion dept's time.
Everybody bitchs about plea bargains. Then when the DA tries and fails to get a conviction we still have people bitchin'.
The guy WASN'T trying to hurt anybody. He was just trying to get away. The DA tried to get the conviction on those grounds, but couldn't. He still got him on a puile of other stuff.
