: : : : Cee Cee welcome back I really missed your wit.
: : : I agree that this is totally wrong. I am planing on calling the PTO today and asking why they are doing this. I think all the parents should call and complain about it.

: : I think these fundraisers have always been like this.It doesn't discriminate, you are supposed to go out and sell ( not have family and friends buy), family and friends may buy. It teaches the kids to do something on their own, not just ask mom and dad for the money. If your kid doesn't sell enough, they don't participate in the party, it's pretty plain and simp[le. it's like real life, you have to do something to earn something, everything isn't free.It teaches the kids a lesson, no work, no pay. Some people choose not to have their kids participate. It has nothing to do with poor and rich. Maybe not buy a carton of cigarettes or a case of beer this week and help your kid.
: No. The kids were specifically told NOT to go door to door and sell. They were told to go to family and friends.
I agree with rwb. It's a good life lesson. Life is not always fair. Get use to it.
