When I was working an event (i.e. play, sporting event, etc.), I looked
at the work posted on the walls in the halls of both Kittanning & Ford
City High School. I was appalled by the fact that most of
these "postings" which were marked with "A's", were full of spelling,
syntax and grammatical errors of every type. These were not typos, these
were words used incorrectly or in poems, the wrong homonym used in the
rhyme. Is it any wonder most teachers cannot pass competency tests? I
remember the days of essay writing in scholl when you could have ALL the
facts correct and still get an "F" because of grammar-bring those days
back! Just read any newspaper today and wonder "where is the proofreader?
