Join the PTO or PTA.. You will get to see where it is going.

: The way the push these fundraisers is unbelievable. When I was in school, we usually had one a year, and a nice field trip or two. Now, it seems like every other week they are selling something else. I've wondered why myself why so much selling. Isn't schoolwork and learning a little more important?
There you have the answer. Let the kids fund raise all year to pay for a new school and the taxpayers won't have to. See how simple.
