: If your like me and thought you would save a lot of money by buying tour cancer sticks from the Indians or from the internet, think again. There's this little known federal law, called the Jenkins Act U.S.C 375 that requires out of state cigarette venders to provide purchase and shipping info to state taxing authorities, such as the P.A. Dept. of Revenue, so the taxes can be collected.I KNOW,just got a statment from for taxes I owe them from when I started getting them from "Smart Smokers",,were not so smart though,,they'll probably kill us..Anyway I got a bill for 106 cartons over a two year period @$13.50 per carton.PLUS 6% sails tax!!!You do the math! So if you get them in the mail like I did ,,you better stop now!! MY WIFE IS SOOO PISSED OFF AT ME!!I know I should quit so please don't post it.Just wanted to inform the ones that do it.

Sorry, that's an expensive lesson. I'm glad I stoped 7 years ago and I think about all the $s I've saved with the extra benefit of my health being so much better. I'm not on the band wagon for you to quit -- my other half still smokes -- I know it is hard to do "old man." LOL
