While I don't agree with Crytzer, you certainly understand Dave that not all church serve wine for communion. Only the Roman Catholic church and the Lutheran.
If I'm not mistaken, they are the only two (although I'm sure you could find other denomination using wine somewhere).
You also realize that the wine is not taken to get drunk (not that this hasn't been use for this by some).
Crytzer probably comes from a very conservative church backgroud who teaches that all drinking is bad.
I would certainly challenge that, not by my own opinion, but with the word of God. No where in the Bible
does it tell us not to drink wine, in fact many people drank wine in those days. It was a common drink, just like a lot of
Italians today. But, Christ was not sitting around partying it up with a bunch of booze.
