: : : Can't you build your home, marry and have a family without investing in FC?
: : Why does my investment in Ford City bother so many people?
: : Yea Ryan, that's pretty strange isn't it? You can come here and live, just don't you dare say you want to do anything good for the community! We all know that you are just selfish and want to make a profit to live and raise your family well on. Don't try to kid us! We know your evil plans to make money and as a result infuse our local economy with it as well. That would be dirty money because of your evil, dirty desire to be rich. You don't care anything about Ford City or you would just give all your money to the town in a trust fund and forget your selfish desires for family and friendship and WEALTH! Your dirty scum! Get behind us satan!!!!~!
Bryan, you are usually rational and sensible in your posts, but you are way off target on this issue, because you are not getting the fact that Bloser is not the problem. The problem is coming from the people he has decided to align himslef with in his endeavor.
You keep spewing the same rhetoric about good business practices and such, but I think you are missing what others are saying. Why would F.C. want to sale land to a person who associates with people who have questionable business practices of their own. Wouldn't you as the seller want to make sure you have solid buyer? You speak of building better communities, working together, etc. Many people feel that the people Bloser has aligned himself with our for everything opposite of that. Business is business and it very good to look into making a profit. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that! But, you have not considered if the land is not used to help build the local economy or expand in development. What if the land used for a waste dump? What if the land is used for storage facilities? You are correct. The overwhelming finality to all of this is turning a profit, BUT you can turn a profit in many ways. Look at the former MACADOO property. Some people got money out of that, and they basically made it by placing a toxic waste dump into the heart of the town. Go down to the basketball courts in F.C., Bryan, and look at the building against the river with the windows shattered and the tall weeds. This was once owned by an investment group that was also going to better Ford City.
It seems that you need to educate yourself, Bryan, on the players and the motives being discussed before you use sarcasm to paint all the people in F.C. as people not willing to work together for the better of the community. I think you made it too simple. These people just may jeopardize that sense of community spirit that you mention so often.
Too many assumptions on you part, Bryan, too many assumptions.
