Sorry but you've opened yourself up for this one. Keep in mind, I am not bashing YOU personally, just your post as written. :)

> So you like criticism as long as it's your way, Right?

Yep. Actually, criticism, if founded, will in most cases kick my rear end into gear to improve those actions/attributes in question.

> Is bashing only acceptable with the proper use of grammar? Should we limit postings to college grads or those who just think they are smarter than everyone else?

Bashing is much more punctual and comes across in a more respectable light if done in elegant fashion. Proper grammar, spelling and the like only enhance such statements. This board is not looking to 'limit' who can post here but again, it always goes back to the 'stupid is as stupid does' concept. And yes, I AM smarter than everyone else. :)

> So why was some bashing acceptable?

Bashing of whom? From me? Some bashing toes the line, providing legitimate concerns while offering some slightly unacceptable comments. The validity of the concerns many times will outweigh the off-color jokes, slurs and name calling. It doesn't make it right, but it's a lot easier to stomach.

In an instance where there is the latter without the former, as has been the case in a majority of the recent posts on this board, you have no substance. These are the posts which should be eliminated and those posters continuously behind these posts banned.

> Was the goal to put enough pressure on council members and effect them personally until they gave up and resigned?

> Did you think allowing certain people to start personally bashing members of council would not encourage other groups to start their own bashing? Such as the case with firemen.

If you haven't noticed, I have not bashed nor endorsed any current council person. I could care less about the personal issues people have with one another in Kittanning (it's one of the MAIN reasons I have no desire to live there). I'm concerned about what is being DONE to improve the lives of some people in the area for which I care. It's a little bit of my character shining through in my desire to be proud of the town where I was raised. [Note: Notice I didn't say 'where I grew up' because in my humble opinion, one cannot truly 'grow up' living solely in Kittanning.]

> Why is it that those individuals who started the criticism and bashing are now going to be the ones to censor this board?

> Does anyone find it interesting that two of the 3 "volunteer censors" who kept stirring the pot of Kittanning Boro controversary live outside of the borough?

Does that offend you that I don't live in the Boro? Does that worry you that an 'outsider' might be having a little influence in the little clique named Kittanning? Does it scare you that the winds of change may blow in from an 'alien' source?

I can only share my experiences and views, many of which will never be experienced by a majority of people from Kittanning. I can only hope that something I say, no matter how trivial, may empower someone to make a change for the better.
