The Snyders didn't do a fireworks show for the community. They did it for themselves. It's just that fireworks are hard to shield to prevent others from seeing them. You got a freebie cause the Snyders were flaunting their wealth again, that's all.
Maybe you should have gone to the party they were having that night to see if they'd let you in. Then you would have seen how much the Snyders want to hang out with rabble like you (and me).
