Wal-Mart drives away business for small stores and forces small town people like Kittanning and Ford City to only go to their store to shop, as you say "one-stop-shopping".
Not only does Wal-Mart not offer what I would like to wear in clothes and other fine quality products in equipment, etc but they are also a poorly managed store. They also rack in the bucks and don't pay their hard-working employees enough of the share.
I can't necessarily disagree with your "one-stop-shopping" theory on why not to build an enclosed mall but at the same time, there needs to be more jobs in this town and county.
We're seeing Cranberry Twp boom because people had the vision to expand, so why can't Armstrong County/Kittanning get this vision.
Build it and they will come.
