Regardless, it exists and it can be used to do some good. : I can accept that there will always be those who try to put down anything positive - it's the old "misery loves company" kinda thinking. Generally speaking, I try not to let those people get to me, but I have a tendency to want to make them see things differently and it sucks me in to arguments.

: People can change things! Some of the problems with Kittanning were clearly spelled out in previous posts. Once you identify problems you can start the process of coming up with solutions. It can be done. All it takes is serious participation by concerned and responsible citizens. That is how our government is supposed to work. For all of you who want to argue otherwise - stop and think first. Why do you want to put people down and convince them that they can do nothing to change or solve the problems that confront them either personally or as a member of a community?
: Anyhow, I was too quick to quit because I reacted out of emotion rather than sticking to my guns and reasoning things out. I will keep trying and keep inviting people to join me. Sooner or later something will come of it. As time goes on, maybe I will gain some patience and improve my ability to hold my temper. At least this is safer than actually meeting in person - I might have gotten myself into serious trouble had the individual who disrespected the kids been right in front of me when he did it!
