If Paul's staging of this comedy is anything like the one that appears in Las Vegas, it's basically a "Who dunnit" Clue-style game. The actors/actresses are part of the audience and everyone plays along. Friends of mine have attended the one in Vegas and had an absolute blast.
I don't think it promotes violence/murder any more than your everyday TV show or video game (actually I think it's MUCH lighter than either of these).
Jeanne, I can rationalize your POV (point of view) regarding murder/violence but your post reeks of some serious PC (political correctness).
I'm sure Paul's dinner program has some sort of disclaimer which states that murder is a serious act, should only be performed by professionals and should not be done at home without adult supervision. *wink, wink*
