Sometimes a person does not realize what they have (or had) until they
move away. Hope someday you will be able to return for good.

My wife accompanied me on the trip and we chose to fly into Pittsburgh in
order to visit Kittanning, my home town which she had never seen. I had
not been back since I was in law school in 1963 and so was delighted to be
able to visit. I had lived in the Pine Hill area. We drove in and I was
really pleased to be able to navigate. We went immediately to Bluff Street
over looking the bridge, Kittanning, and the river. My wife kept
saying "This is beautiful, I want to live here!" and "Why did your fmaily
move from here?" We spent a day looking aorund, visiting the old
neighborhood and even talking to some neighbors who remembered us. As I
got more and more excited about showing her places from my memory and
past, she simply said with a smile "Gary, your roots are showing" and they
were! We came back the next weekend and visited some more. We loved it!
