: Eventually people are gonna learn that you are not going to ever make a great salary in a factory again. Unless your factory is high tech. Our economy is moving towards Service/utilities and Healthcare. If you want your child to be successfull groom them for this area. If you think the boom in manufacturing is ever coming back you are wrong. the status Quo in education is not going to be enough any more. You have to provide a better education than what we are getting right now. The future for ditchdiggers is also falling off. so educate your child well for the future. Or prepare them for the life of not having much.
We will send them to college, get a degree in psychology, or liberal arts and let them work minimum wage...why do some go to college only to graduate and work at a job they could have had right out of high school??
