: Bryan and Bill,

: I believe in doing what's best for the community, too. I have a room where we can have meetings and there won't be any cost. A better idea might be to meet at a local restaurant to be more visible. P: 724-548-5716

: For what it's worth, we can use both KDC and Local4all websites to recruit more people, announce meetings and work days, etc.

: Thanks,
: Carl

: : : : So far I have suggested two things on this baord that would require people getting together to get things done. The first was a volunteer clean up crew, the second a concerned citizens group that could work to better the area and deal with the important issues that are bringing the area down.

: : : : I got a lot of jags and ridicule and personal attacks. Not sure why someone suggesting something good for the community deserves all that, but what is more upsetting by far is that not one person responded by saying they would be willing to jion me or help me, or lead, or organize, or ANYTHING. I see all these posts, supposedly by people who care about this community, but it appears that all anyone wants to do is argue, criticize, spread rumors, poke at people's sore spots and generally waste their time.

: : : : Is there no one who comes to this board who is willing to do anything more? I refuse to belive that that is the case. Someone out there prove me right. Please.

: : : : Oh, by the way, i didn't bother to check my spelling and grammer - again, those of you who belong to the spelling police please just save it.

: : : Maybe people would take you more seriously, or doubt your sincerety less if you actually posted your name.

: : : If you don't want to do it here, do it in an open letter in the paper and include you phone #.

: : Well Bill, I don't have a problem with posting my name but I question why not giving my name earlier would keep people from responding or cause people to respond negatively.

: : Actually, now that I think about it, maybe I was hesitant to put my name to it. As I've stated before, I haven't allways been an angel and the way some people attacked me I may have been a little scared that people would dish out some past dirt or something - but hey, I guess that doesn't really matter if I'm going to be willing to follow up. So my name is Bryan McKelvey - and that is Mckelvey with no R in it. I have been confused a couple times with a gentleman with the same first name and a very similar last name. He makes the paper quite often and almost got me thrown in jail once. I went to pay a fine for my inspection sticker being out of date and they told me at James Owens office that there was a warrant out for me! Fortunately they figured out the mistake before carting me off.

So, I'm not completely alone then? Great!

Just so you know, I actually live in Ford Cliff, not K-town. But unlike a lot of area people I guess, I think of this whole area as my community.

I will call you - I will also give you my cell phone number as soon as I get one in service and we can get together and come up with some ways to "recruit."
