Ford city should give that property away to some sort of business we as a community need to do whatever it takes to create jobs. We need to find ways to fill the storefronts in our fading downtowns.It would be nice to have the streets filled on the weekends with people that want to come visit our unique towns. their are things that could be done and us as citizens are the true course to how things need to be directed. I know things take time but how long and at what cost to the taxpayers.
I want to give credit where credit is due. Don White and Jeff Pyle have been working for our district and have brought various forms of assistance from Harrisburg.
I agree the commissioners and administration have dropped the ball on this county.
As for the development of this area, there are several developers that are working for the community's best interest, unfortunately the current borough / townships administration do not want to hear anything they have to say. Case in point, The FC Ambulence service wanted the PPG land, Ryan Bloser's venture group wanted to develop the land, and some machinery company wanted to move to Nothepointe.
My opinion, Northpoint would be nothing without that Mellon processing facility and with Mellon being bought, that facility may leave.
