It's not surprising that most people wouldn't know of them, as they tend to keep a low profile and seem to be more into making money than showing it to everyone. However, I don't think they are sinister and keep businesses out of Armstrong County. Most of their businesses are focused on natural resources so I don't think they have much interest in keeping other businesses out of Armstrong County. Mark Snyder is a county commissioner, which is why I suspect someone was taking a shot at the Snyders.
