: : : I shop weekly there Kitty and the mushrooms are mostly bad on Sun and Mondsay anyhow. It is off season for all the stores. I shop where I can save a buck Kitty, I have no allegiance because no store owner/chain would give a hoot and holler if I didn't have a buck to shop there. It is proven the small owners have to offer something Walmart doesn't. I always thought a fruit market would do good around here, Giunta's outside Apollo used to have a great business, don't know if they are still there or not.

: : Well ain't we defensive. And no, I am not trying to get this board shut down. I like this board. And excuse me for defending the little guy. I'm not a big fan of shop n save, but I have never had a problem with customer service at Foodland, plus I like going to Toy's and IGA for the same reason. If the mushrooms are bad, ask produce if they have any others. It's that simple. If you don't like it, shop somewhere else.
: It doesn't matter if you like Walamrt or not. There prices are lower and in the times that we live now, we all need to save our pennies whenever we can. I hope a super center comes in, might bring in a few more jobs to the area. And as far as putting the smaller stores out of business, maybe it's time they lower there prices also...
I agree. Remember it was Walmart who lowered the price of certain drugs to $4 and the rest followed suit. It wasn't the "little guy" who did it. I go where the best price is.
