We had clubs, Slovak, Polish, Lithuanian, just to name a few.
We had at least 10 recipes for venison.
We had "pitchers" of us as kids with dad & grandpa's deer.
We had an original Terrible towel.
Sportscasters just could not match the "slightly nasal" voice of Myron Cope.
We all miss the real Prince, namely Bob, who coined more phrases than Heinz has pickles. Spread some chicken on the hill, arriba, arriba, the Maz, etc.
I grew up in Kittanning and moved away about 7 years ago. A friend sent me this and I loved it. Now I can show all my new friends and prove to them that I really don't talk funny! (I still get made fun of for my accent).
