Sidewalks need to be shoveled. It is a safety issue for everyone. Would you rather have an elderly person break a hip on a snow-covered sidewalk?
When I was a kid, my parents taught us right. We shoveled our own sidewalk and usually two houses on either side of us. That made it 5 houses all together. AND we didn't charge them a dime. We did it because that's what good neighbors do for each other. Later in life, when my mom needed help and we were out of the house, those same neighbors shoveled HER sidewalk. What goes around comes around.
Be a good neighbor. In the time you've spent on this message board, you probably could have shoveled a walk or two.
