And I think hitting on a Native American theme would be very good for Kittanning. What is the one thing that it has that only a handful of other towns have? It was founded on an indian village. There must be tons of artifacts found during construction. Enough for a museum? You already have a top notch historical/genealogical society in Kittanning.

There are also a number of Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Kittanning. Perhaps striking up a "native American and colonial American settlement" theme may boost tourism in Kittanning. It's working for Old Bedford.

People are fascinated by their roots and their history. Build on it.

I also think the Railroad-Station-as-a-coffee-shop is a great idea, but I understand the the railroad companies that own these old stations are rather hard to deal with. It's sad, but there are a number of quaint old railroad stations rotting to the ground all around Pennsylvania. The one in Kittanning is lovely-- I hope someone can save it.
