IF the thought was to go the way of the Indian (bad juxtoposition, I know), several things come to mind. One, I think has been mentioned was having re-enactments (battles, pow wows, etc). Two, the railroad 'park' would be awesome and would actually give walkers something to look at while walking on that 'wonderful' idea of rails-to-trails, note the sarcasm because I see just as many walkers when visiting now than when I lived there and there were tracks.
I like the fact that we are now entertaining IDEAS. I would like to think that most Kittanning-ites would welcome things such as these.
Keep the think tank going.
I guess worst case scenario would be to allow riverboat gambling. Now THAT would generate some revenue (but with the good comes the bad)
> I think that would get tacky dividing Kittanning up like that into different themes. It's really not big enough to do that. I liked someone's suggestion about a native american thing, I think that would be appropriate considering the town was named after the Kit-Han-E (sp?) Indians.
