: Well, I think all the candidates have announced for Judge. Panchik, Andreassi, Calarie and Owen. Panchik had a BIG crowd at his event on Saturday, even though the Kittanning roads made it tough to get there!! haha

: Panchik may surprise Andreassi in the election.

: And, for Commissioner, I guess despite the fact that the commissioners are completely unproductive, nothing ever changes, etc., they will all be re-elected, because no one other than Rosemary Waratuke is running against them. The Dems will have no competition in their primary (Fink and Waratuke for the 2 spots) and the Republicans, Kirkpatrick and Scahill are unopposed so far too. Ho hum.

: I'm disappointed that Chuck Pascal isn't running on the Democrats side. He at least has a brain and knows that a lot of what the commissioners are doing--or not doing--is a joke, and that Northpointe was a complete waste of money for all it has produced. He also has some new and different ideas. Of course, things are so screwed up that he probably figured that it would be a waste of time to try to fix things. And besides, defending Armstrong County's increasingly large numbers of criminals is taking up more and more of his time. (just kidding)

I agree. I heard that Mr. Pascal was going to run for judge, but that others wanted him to run for commissioner. I didn't know he had decided not to run, but I understand if that's true.

I think he should seriously consider running for judge, at least the next time there is a chance to run, like when Valasek retires.
