: : I've seen the kind of store you are talking about, and I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't feel we need another store like this, just for those who receive the "access" card. You know, I was in line at another store, who accepts these "damn things" and that fine lady sure in the hell did not look needy to me. But hell I'm just a "dumb tax payer." Hell Bush ruined the country, what more damage could another such store hurt in this beautiful town of Kittanning.
: : I would only hope, One would want to do better than just sit and wait for there so called credit card each month. I think we the PEOPLE who work should get a check from Uncle Sam for working and be rewarded not for just sitting on our lazy asses.

: : : Have you ever actually been in one of the larger dollar trees? It has an unbeliveable selection of products. Plus, it has a large food section, plus frozen foods, and it isn't all crap. Plus, one of the ones I was in before excepted the access card. I think it would be a good thing for the people in the area who have low incomes. So don't knock it before you try it.

: While I have nothing against having another store in this area (we definitely need as many selections as we can get), I am really disgusted that we don't even have a movie theater anymore. It is sad that we have to once again drive out of the area for something we don't have. Why did they close anyway? Was it because people were already driving to Sarver or the Mills? I really think if the owners would have maintained and updated the place, it could have competed well. After all, that was pretty much the only theater in Armstrong County left. The last time my daughter and her friends went there, I ended up calling the manager the next day. Apparantly, there was no manager on duty and one of the employees boyfriends was hanging out there. The movie my daughter was going to had teenagers in the theater and no adults so I guess he thought he could get away with something. He went in before the movie and started yelling and swearing at them all telling them they better be the F quiet during the movie and he would kick their ****ing *ss, etc. It was ridiculous. Anyway, I think with proper management and some upgrades it could have stayed a viable business. I hope someone puts another theater in somewhere locally. Last I heard they were putting an Arby's in. I guess because Rax did so well with their roast beef?
I agree with you, there should be another theater built only I don't think we have the population to support one. People started going other places plus dvd's, cable and direct tv hurt their patronship.I figure we will get naother store that won't stay, or a bank we don't need. I Truly think we need a classy restaurant, something a step up from King's, on par with the Villa. The Villa survives now on it's name, their food isn't that good but people go because it is the Villa. The mall needs a class place,And I hate those gas pumps at Shop n Save, it looks bad . They must have felt they needed to keep up with Foodland ( Fueland) but I think it was a bad idea.
