Yes the searches were to make sure Saddam Hussein didn’t have WMD and that’s what I keep saying that you can’t get through your thick skull. When we illegally invaded Iraq in March 2003 we had weapons inspectors in Iraq searching for these WMD. I’m glad you used a UN document to try and prove your point, because so I’m I and now you can’t say, “screw the UN”. So as you can see weapons inspectors were in Iraq starting on Nov. 27, 2002 a full 5 months before Bush invaded Iraq. It said it had few difficulties and were able to perform no-notice inspections all over Iraq. So there was no need to invade Iraq because inspections were on going and the UN inspectors didn’t find any WMD and neither did we after we invaded. So we have over 3000 dead American soldiers and countless wounded soldiers, we have hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis and who know how many are wounded. For what? Why do you hate our troops so much? If you think that invading Iraq was so important because, you say, they violated 17 UN resolutions and we needed to invade Iraq even though the UN or our soldiers didn’t find anything even closely resembling a WMD would you trade places, if you could, with one of the 3000+ dead American soldiers? I’ll await your answer on that one.
You need to start comprehending what I write, because I’ve given you plenty of proof why Bush said we went in. I’ve made sure I quoted people from your presidents administration.
I keep “shifting back” to the mission accomplished argument because I want to show how you lie and after you are proved to be a liar, you want to drop the argument.
Your scenario of the 2000 hours of surveillance is good and I’ll use it to show cherry picking. Yes if the police videotape 2000 hours of a suspect cutting his grass and 3 seconds showing him shooting somebody and 20 seconds of this “somebody” killing the grass cutter family this is where the cherry picking part comes in when the police only show the 3 seconds to the prosecutor of the grass cutter killing somebody but not showing the 20 seconds of the family getting killed to get the conviction they want. That is cherry picking and that is what Bush did. He only showed evidence that would get the power he wanted to invade Iraq. What he didn’t show Congress was things like the evidence that Saddam tried to buy yellow cake (uranium) from Niger was bogus. The CIA even told him not to include it in his 2003 State Of The Union address, but he did anyhow. That is cherry picking and you know it.
So you want to point fingers at Clinton. Here’s one. After we invaded Afghanistan and we had over 1000 Al-Qaeda members, including Osama Bin Laden” cornered in the Tora Bora region, the Bush administration let him and over 1000 Al-Qaeda members go. Why? This was enemy #1, dead or alive. He was responsible for killing over 3000 Americans on 9/11, but Bush let him go.
Also “Path to 9/11” was not based solely on the 9/11 report (the report that your President fought not to have done) because it states that Clinton did not have any opportunities to get Osama. It also shows that American Airlines had the opportunity to stop the highjackers and that was a lie also. The part with Sandy Berger was all fabricated. The CIA agents weren't on the ground, they weren't with Massoud, nobody had bin Laden in their grasp, and Berger never refused to give the order to get the guy. This fakeumentary
was done by a conservative producer. The funny part about this is your statement about how the media is liberal, but here you have ABC/Disney showing this conservative documentary. Why would a liberal media giant like ABC do that. Because they’re not liberal. Chris Wallace of Fox News even said about Pathways to 9/11, “I think it’s slanderous, I think it’s defamatory and I think that ABC and Disney should be held in account”. Conservative talk show host Bill Bennett Says ABC Should ‘Correct Those Inaccuracies’ in Path to 9/11. The writer of the fakeumentary is an unabashed conservative activist named Cyrus Nowrasteh. An FBI agent who worked as a consultant to the film quit halfway through production of the fakeumentary because he said the writers and producers were "making things up." Tom Kean says that the film is 'reasonably accurate'. There was so much wrong with it that ABC put a disclaimer that it is a "dramatization . . . not a documentary" and contains "fictionalized scenes." Richard Ben-Veniste, speaking for himself and fellow 9/11 Commissioners who viewed Pathway to 9/11, said, "As we were watching, we were trying to think how they could have misinterpreted the 9/11 Commission’s findings the way that they had." Do I need to go on to show how wrong you are on this one.
Even your attitude of Osama Bin Laden, “could be alive, could be dead, we haven't heard from him in quite a while.” was very cavalier. You forgot the words, “Who cares” You and your president think alike, because he says he doesn’t think about Osama much either. In fact, he thinks about him so little that 4 months after 9/11, after Osama killed over 3000 Americans Bush didn’t even mention him in the 2002 State Of The Union Address.
Prove to me that the Democrats said the whole Pathway to 9/11 is a lie. Never happened. You just keep lying, don’t you.
