He didn't retire, he resigned.I am not sure but by resigning possibly he forfeits his year on his contract.If not, then the Steelers would be liable to pay him and if someone signed him like Miami the Steelers would be due compensation from them. But I don't think he is going to coach anywhere in 2007.
