The law can be changed and it's our opportunity to point out what doesn't make sense and propose changes.
What makes sense? The website could say "Former Address, present address unknown" or it could simply say "present address unknown".
Legislators look good when they propose new legislation. Even those that aren't necessarily interested in the safety of one constituent are looking to get re-elected. I think Jeff might be able to help, both short term and long term.

I ASK THEM TO REMOVE MY ADDRESS FROM HER PROFILE THAT SHE DONT LIVE HERE ANY MORE, HE SAID THAT WAS THE LAST ADDRESS THEY HAD ON HER AND DONT HAVE TO REMOVE IT AND THEY DIDENT. WHY DIDENT THEY NOTICE SHE HAD NOT REPORTED EVERY TIME SHE MOVES OR WHEN SHE HAS TO REPORT.SO I GUESS I HAVE NO RIGHTS,MY ADDRESS ON THERE WAS STAYING UNTILL THEY CAN FIND ANOTHER ADDRESS TO POST. I THINK SOME ONE IS LAYING DOWN ON THEIR JOB AT THE MEGANS LAW DEPARTMENT OF THE STATE POLICE OR WHO EVER IS IN CHARGE. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST MEGANS LAW AS LONG AS IT IS RUN RIGHT.THE WRONG ADDRESS ON THEIR WEB PAGE COULD POSSABLY GET SOME ONE INNOCENT HURT.

: : : I SEEN THAT SAME MESSAGE AND CALLED THEM. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO TOLD ME THE ADDRESS WOULD STAY UNTILL THEY COULD FIND THE LADY AND GET A NEW ADDRESS ON HER. THE LAW GIVES THEM THE RIGHT TO DO SO. SHE HAS NOT REPORTED IN SINCE 2002.MY GOD WHERE WERE THEY WHEN SHE DIDENT REPORT IN ON HER BIRTHDAY FOR ALMOST FIVE YEARS NOW. : : It's a feel good law as many are. the public feels good thinking everything is under control, we know where them dirty rats are... where in reality the police no know nothing, unless they get lucky and John Q Public gives them some info.
