Talk about missing the point!
I'm not bashing the kids. The reason I posted in the first place was FOR the kids. And I have nothing but love for the kids on the field... Ford City, Kittanning, it doesn't matter. So if you plan on posting another "educated pontification", why don't you try actually educating yourself about my previous posts before you jump to conclusions.
What I'm saying is this - I'm tired of the lack of coaching acumen on the part of the Kittanning coaches - the coaches. Did you get that? The coaches. And I've done nothing but talk kindly of the kids on the field. Not the coaches. The kids. And I stand by my belief that there is absolutely NO reason why Kittanning shouldn't have won last Friday night. In my opinion, based on my experience, I have evaluated both teams and the individual talent on both teams and let me assure you of one thing. Kittanning was outcoached last Friday night. Period. End of discussion. I challenge any ONE of you to an argument in that regard. And this should make all the FC fans happy - I think Coach Bart knows exactly what he's doing and I give him props. Not only did he coach less competent players to a win, he hit the nail on the head when he was quoted in the Leader Times as saying it boiled down to execution. It did. He executed, Panchik didn't.
I understand football is just a game. I understand basketball is just a game. I understand baseball is just a game. But being a former high school and college football player myself (which I'm sure the majority of you can NOT say), I speak from personal experience when I say there is NOTHING more frustrating than having talent - having the ability to play a GREAT game, to make a difference with my teammates. And then to have that talent sidelined (pardon the pun) by people in the position of authority who make really crappy decisions when it comes to play calling.
Nothing ceases to amaze me here. I'm assuming most of you are from Kittanning and yet, you settle for mediocrity at every turn. You settle for it in your local leaders, you settle for it in your coaches, and, to top it all off, you DEFEND it. Unbelievable.
Apparently you all enjoy getting your asses kicked. Might I remind you of LAST YEAR'S Ford City/Kittanning debacle, in the pouring freezing rain. Kittanning kids on sidelines with injuries, one FC touchdown after another. A miserable night and an even more miserable coaching demonstration.
So I leave you people to wallow in your own squalor. There are none so blind as those who will not see.
