Back home after 40year absence

Have recently moved back to the Kittanning area (Templeton) after travelling the world, first with the US Navy, then with Motorola.
When I left in 1960 this whole area was badly scarred by the mines and heavy industry - not a very nice place to be back then.

I am just astonished at the changes that have taken place here in the past 40 or so years. Mother Nature has worked miracles healing the industrial wounds. Also the State and County have contributed to the ambiance with much improved roads and projects such as the new Riverfront Park in Kittanning. The natural beauty of this area is a real treasure - I am thrilled to be back!!
