: The rabbits around this area are merciless! Short of setting up traps or getting my hunting license and a .22, has anyone got better ideas on how to keep these critters away from my bulbs and vegetables?
: I've read about Liquid Fence and other chemical products, and wondered too if anyone out there has any experience with such things.
: Thanks to all!!

I've always had a dog and I think his scent has kept them out of my yard. I've also heard that the best defense is a fence about 2 foot high surrounding the area. Just make sure it is buried a few inches below the ground or secured tightly to the ground as rabbits will dig under. I know someone that just took a rubber hose and surrounded the area. She said that the rabbits would go around it and not in it. Never tried it, but it can't hurt. I've also heard of using chili pepper spray (either sauce or chili peppers chopped in a blender & mixed with water) or even human hair sprinkled around the garden. Hope this helps!
